The Red Cross and Post-Colonial Construct in Haiti: A Web-Based Analysis is an interactive web-based narrative created from various screenshots and coded in html. The site exists as an exploration of the post-colonial structure of the Red Cross, looking through the lens of the Hatian community. The conversation visited arises from the comparison between two perspectives that exist as primary sources: an email directly from a local volunteer and organizer living in Haiti, and the Red Cross’s website. Discussing the consequences of NGO’s, the white savior complex, and more, this site allows viewers to click through and commonly known web elements and view my analysis of the complications.
