This works speaks to my current relationship with my father, specifically in relation to his memory through photography. Being that my father is deceased, photos are in some ways the only way to still get to know who he was. For this work, I have chosen three photographs from my father’s childhood that are each a different primary color to reiterate such. It touches on the constant interaction and re-interaction with his memory. The image becomes more clear throughout, but at some point starts becoming more blurry. This visual is a representation of my inability to ever really see it clearly now. The viewer is meant to fill in the details of these photos with there own projections that draw from their own experiences. Remember? deals with memory, loss, perspective, innocence, and idolization.
