Ikebana
Compositional studies beginning with newspaper, magazine, illustration, and other clippings, cut and glued on 14 in X 17 in Bristol paper inspired by Ikebana design principles.
ORGANIZING COLLECTIONS
An exercise aimed to turn a pile into collections using the five parameters: physical similarity, location, use, hierarchy, and theme. These collections were then used to created a series of compositional studies pulling from the various compositional principles.
A Pile of Objects
“Knolling” the Collection

Compositional study using photocopied objects cut and glued on 11 in X 14 in Bristol paper and arranged using the “knolling” design principle..
Compositional studies beginning with photocopied objects, cut into 1 in X 3 in rectangles and glued on 14 in X 17 in Bristol paper using a column grid.
